Neurodevelopmental Disorders

This refers to a group of conditions that typically manifest early in development and are characterized by developmental deficits in various areas, including communication, social interaction, and behaviour. Examples include autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and specific learning difficulties, developmental coordination disorder, intellectual disabilities and global developmental delay. These disorders involve atypical brain development and functioning.
